Life transition coaching: choosing support for identity

Not closed. Raised. There is a difference that everything depends on.
You may already know that a chapter of your life has changed. The next question is what kind of help to seek. Reading can give you language. A conversation can give a question more room. A specialist may be needed for a particular practical or clinical concern. Choosing support starts with naming what you want from the encounter.
Searching for life transition coaching will bring you to different kinds of practitioners. Look beyond the label to the person's approach, the purpose of the service and its limits. Here I explain the kind of conversation I offer as a spiritual guide working with identity, shadow and thresholds.
Begin with one situation
“I need to change my life” may be true, but it can be difficult to know where to begin. Try something more specific: “My career is working, but I no longer want the role I have built.” “I moved, and I am unsure what I want to keep from my previous life.” “There is a family conversation I keep postponing.”
These are illustrative situations, not client stories. Each gives a conversation a starting point while leaving room for what is still unclear. You can also read recognizing the threshold you are crossing before deciding whether you want support.
How spiritual guidance approaches a transition
My work explores identity, shadow and thresholds through conversation, questions and symbolic images. We can look at a story you keep telling about yourself, a role you are maintaining or a direction you want to consider. You are welcome to disagree or say that an interpretation does not fit.
In Umbral alto, from my poetry collection UNWITNESSED, the image of a threshold explores what is allowed to enter. You can bring that question to choosing support, too: what do you want from the relationship, and what conditions help you keep your own judgment within it?
Questions to ask before paying for support
Ask what the session is for, how long it lasts and what it costs. Ask what the practitioner does not provide. My private clarity and threshold session is 90 minutes and costs USD 500. It is available in English or Spanish. This is educational and spiritual guidance, not psychotherapy or clinical care.
A meaningful conversation does not require a promise that your transition will be resolved in one appointment. You can evaluate whether the approach fits your question, whether the terms are clear and whether you feel able to participate without giving away your authority.
Preparing for a private conversation
Write down what is happening, what you have tried to understand and the question you want to explore. Distinguish the facts from the meanings you have attached to them. You do not need to send an intimate life history to ask about availability, or share details you would rather keep private.
If a recurring pattern is central, continue with self-sabotage and decisions. For more about my approach, read spiritual guidance. When you want to bring one situation into a private conversation, the session details and contact option are below.
